Preferred Builders
- The Preferred Builder’s Program includes three custom homebuilders: Bayside Building, Inc.; RCR Development and Whitman Homes. Through Bay Club Real Estate Holdings, over 60 pre-approved designs were rendered, ranging from 2,100 sq. ft. to over 6,000 sq. ft. Smaller homes include two and three bedrooms with larger homes having in excess of five bedrooms. Numerous features that would be considered “custom” outside the Bay Club are considered standard Bay Club features and included in each home design. In addition to these pre-approved designs, three of the Builders offer design services and other homes in their portfolios that can be reviewed for Bay Club construction. A brief profile of each builder follows.
Bayside Building, Inc.
- Established in 1981, Bayside earned its reputation as one of the most respected builders on Cape Cod. The company’s President and founder, Brian Dacey has been developing and building custom homes in planned communities for over thirty years and was one of the first to commit to the Bay Club Community in 2004.
  
  To date, Brian and his team at Bayside Building have built 16 custom homes in the Bay Club ranging in size from 2,600 to over 7,400 sq. ft. To quote Brian “we pride ourselves in planning and construction efficiencies, paying attention to every detail from concept to completion, including delivery of your home when committed.”
Whitman Homes
- Founder and President, Rich Whittington, and Partners Tim Porter and Bart O’Brien established a custom homebuilding company that provides an array of professional services ranging from in-house architectural design and construction management, to land development and construction financing. They provide a solid, time tested group of vendors who offer their clients a variety of showrooms to personalize your home selections. Ask about their portfolio of home designs or design the home of your choice with their team!
  
  With over 600 custom homes to its credit, Whitman Homes is a preferred builder at a number of planned communities in Massachusetts. Within the Bay Club Community, Whitman Homes has completed 21 custom homes ranging in size from 2,300 sq. ft. to over 5,160 sq. ft.
RCR Development
- The newest addition to the Preferred Builder Program is RCR Development. John Maffei, principal of RCR Development, has been building custom homes for over 30 years. In the last few years, RCR has contracted to build 3 homes in the Bay Club ranging in size from 3,200 sq. ft. to over 5,100 sq. ft. In addition to custom home construction, RCR has also developed a number of successful residential communities along the SouthCoast including Highbridge Estates in South Dartmouth.
Other Home Construction Options
- While it is not a requirement to engage one of the Bay Club’s Preferred Builders, it is recommended that at least one of the Preferred Builders be interviewed and given an opportunity to review your construction plans prior to contracting with a builder not familiar with Bay Club construction guidelines. Of the many considerations to be given prior to committing to build are the efficiencies with which any of the Preferred Builder’s can provide home design services, competitive pricing and their familiarity with the Bay Club Community’s Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, as well as its Design Guidelines and work conditions.
